Mitel® 5000 Communications Platform (formerly Inter-Tel® 5000 Network Communications Solutions) enables organizations to blend their voice system into their data network, creating a cost-effective, efficient communications environment. 5000 CP solutions offer a hybrid communications platform, which allows businesses to network geographically dispersed employees and locations, whether they're connecting offices and applications together over a data network, or deploying digital and IP phones to on-site employees. 5000 CP solutions support multiple software applications, resulting in operational efficiencies and a foundation for a more flexible infrastructure. This system can be networked to other CS-5200, CS-5400 and CS-5600 communication servers or Inter-Tel Axxess® systems (Axxess v7.0 or later [T-1/PRI] or Axxess v8.231 or later [IP Networking.])

Digital and Analog Phone Support
5000 CP can support up to 192 digital phones by adding up to four Digital Expansion Interfaces (DEI). Each DEI provides three bays which can accommodate a 16-port digital phone module (DEM-16) or an 8-port analog phone module (SLM-8).
