TRAMONTINA
SITUATION
The United States Headquarters of Tramontina was hit by a tornado in 2004 that devastated the company facility. The company's US President made the commitment to have the facility back in operation within one year. The company's location covers in excess of 1.5 million square feet - so keeping people connected can be a challenge. The previous system was antiquated and no longer supported the client's needs. The company operated from multiple sites with no direct way to communicate. An overhaul of the data and carrier network was in need. Tramontina desired a vendor that could provide an end-to-end solution including routers, switches, telephony, and a carrier services solution. The company was strongly considering a Cisco solution before engaging with Co-nexus. Finally, the company needed a system that provided the highest quality and reliability to keep them connected to their clients.
SOLUTION
Co-nexus installed an end-to-end IP telephony solution to keep employees connected throughout the 1.5 million square feet between the corporate and manufacturing facilities. Co-nexus completely upgraded the data network with new routers and switches. Co-nexus reviewed the available carriers in the area and assisted with the selection and implementation of the circuits for dial tone, Internet connectivity and connectivity between locations.
RESULTS
The client had an aggressive installation time frame from contract to first day of service. Co-nexus met the aggressive installation timeframe to ensure that the client was operational on time. The client was able to work with a single vendor for all voice and data requirements at a time when resources where stretched thin, allowing the client to focus on other aspects of the massive project. The system included a Contact Center in the Customer Service group, which has improved responsiveness to client requirements. The system is fully manageable by the IT staff of Tramontina, or at the clients request, Co-nexus can make changes to the system in minutes. |
